Future Research

  • Explore sensitivity to ranges of values associate with life cycle parameters and dispersal strategies
  • Investigate population responses to 50-60% habitat degradation
    • a critical range over which the level of habitat connectivity declines precipitously
  • Simulate shrub invasion at higher elevation sites and/or marsh encroachment at lower elevation sites
  • Assess the effects of prairie restoration on population viability
  • Integrate plant succession patterns predicted by ATLSS under alternative proposed management strategies
